I’m Lucy and I am delighted to welcome you to my website.

I specialise in maternity, newborn and family photography, and I am based in a dedicated home studio in central Tunbridge Wells.

My aim is to create timeless and elegant images for you which allow your children's features to be the focus of the image: tiny toes, pursed lips and delicate lashes in the case of the babies; cheeky smiles, twinkling eyes and sibling cuddles in the case of older children.

Safety and comfort, especially for newborns, is always at the forefront of my mind and I have been trained by one of the UK’s top newborn photography specialists to handle and pose babies safely. For more information please look at my newborn page.

A bit about me…

I haven’t always been a photographer. A lover of photography, yes, but for years I wasn’t brave enough to take the leap into doing what I really loved professionally. I started my working life as a prep school teacher because I have always enjoyed working with children (and perhaps somewhat inevitably coming from a family full of teachers) but always had my camera close at hand.

Shortly after my daughter was born, I really learnt the value of family photos: both those which you snap on your camera phone in the middle of some great hilarity or to capture an unrepeatable moment, but also those which are planned: those which perfectly document the tiny physical details of your child, capture their unique, evolving personalities and which immortalise the priceless relationships between family members.

I had always known that beautiful, professional photographs can bring joy day after day, but I finally understood that those images - and all the associated memories which they evoke - become immeasurably valuable possessions, cherished and thoughtfully passed down from parent to child… and possibly even further!

So, I went from welcoming children into my classroom to inviting you and your family into my studio. Just as you invest in other elements of your children’s lives, I believe that it is worth investing in professional photography and I invite you to join in too.
